Otolaryngologist, Founder of Atkins Expert Sinus Care
James Atkins, MD
Sinus specialist James Atkins, MD, is the founder of Atkins Expert Sinus Care. Dr. Atkins opened his practice in 2000 with the goal of focusing on sinus problems after realizing that many of his patients needed a more focused and experienced approach to their complex sinus disease. Atkins Expert Sinus Care offers the latest advances in sinus treatments and procedures. Dr. Atkins invented many of the tools and techniques used for modern day balloon sinuplasty. He offers TruDi™ balloon sinuplasty (BSP), which uses an advanced 3-D imaging system to make balloon sinuplasty more accurate and more successful. Dr. Atkins was born and raised in Galveston, TX. He went to college at UT Austin and went to medical school and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

Michael P. Vaughn, PhD, MD
Dr. Michael Vaughn is a board-certified Allergist and Immunologist with over 25 years of practice in San Antonio. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine before pursuing fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology — the specialized pathway recognized by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Vaughn treats both adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions. He has particular expertise in asthma and related lung disorders, drug allergy, insect sting allergy, and complex immunologic disease. He is known for his thorough, methodical approach and his ability to explain complex conditions in plain language.

Adrianne D. Vaughn, MD
Dr. Adrianne Vaughn is a "home-grown" San Antonian attending Incarnate Word High School and graduating Salutatorian of her graduating class. She received a full academic scholarship to St. Mary's University and then attended Medical School at UTHSC-SA. She completed residency training in Pediatrics before specializing in Allergy and Immunology (UTHSC-SA) — giving her a uniquely comprehensive perspective on both childhood and adult allergic disease. Dr. Vaughn has a special focus on food allergy, childhood eczema and dermatitis, hives, angioedema, anaphylaxis, and recurrent infections related to immune dysfunction. She is passionate about helping families navigate the anxiety that often accompanies these diagnoses, and works to create clear, actionable plans that fit real life. Dr. Vaughn is a member of the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society (TAAIS) and she regularly participates in continuing medical education to bring the latest evidence-based treatments to her patients.
